The mission

The Killarney Park is a much-loved five-star hotel in the heart of Killarney – independent, family-owned and deeply connected to its place and people. The hotel was preparing for a significant new chapter with a bold five-month closure for significant refurbishment. The ambition was clear: to cement its place amongst the very best luxury hotels in the country.

But this wasn’t a story of reinvention. It was one of considered evolution. The goal was to elevate every element of the brand while preserving the warmth, care and deep sense of place that guests return for time and time again.

How do you reposition a family-owned hotel for the ultra-luxury market without losing its heart?

The approach

From the beginning, it was clear this project would be led by the heart as much as strategic thinking. We immersed ourselves fully in the hotel and its surroundings. Killarney itself shaped the core of the brand direction – its colours, textures, rhythms and stories.

What we uncovered was something rare. In a world of ultra-luxury, this was luxury of a different kind: calm, enveloping and deeply personal. A sense of comfort that wraps around you. We called it quiet luxury. And it became the foundation for everything that followed.

A brand positioning built around feeling
The new brand positioning, Time made richer, captured the emotional core of the Killarney Park experience. It reflected the hotel’s rare ability to help guests slow down, savour the moment, and feel deeply cared for. A gift in today’s fast-moving world.

A visual identity defined by quiet luxury
A natural colour palette inspired by the surrounding Kerry landscape brought a grounded elegance to the brand. A refined typeface and a bespoke monogram blended past and present with ease. Every detail, from pattern to print finishes, was designed to feel understated, elevated and timeless.

Sustainability at the centre
As a leader in sustainable hospitality, the Killarney Park’s values were reflected across every brand touchpoint. Materials, finishes and design decisions were guided by long-term environmental responsibility.

Brought to life through people
Before relaunch, we facilitated a staff brand induction with the team. This ensured the positioning wasn’t just expressed visually, but felt in every guest interaction.
