I’ve posted in the past how breaching Facebook’s promotional guidelines can result in a page being suspended or deleted. It’s not an easy, or cheap task, to get a page reinstated and by breaching those guidelines you run the risk of losing everything you have invested in Facebook.
So I thought this campaign for the Scandinavian SAS Airlines was worth sharing. The campaign was called ‘up for grabs’ and involved fans uploading a photo to the wall of SAS Airlines Facebook page as part of the competition and changing their profile photo. Big no-no’s in terms of those guidelines. SAS Airlines went ahead and the Page was inevitably suspended. Some part of me wonders if that really was part of the plan all along.
You can view the campaign video below and their re-instated Page here.
