Christmas Cards from the Edge
posted on 19th Dec 2018 by Lorna McWeeney
Christmas time – soooomething, sooomething and wine! Tomorrow (the 20th) is the deadline for sending cards to your Irish pals (you are far too late for your friends out foreign. Forget them. They left you.) With that in mind, let’s have a look at the good, the bad and the tacky Christmas cards that our own Irish designers have created to satisfy your last minute correspondence needs.
This understated card by Paul Gibson (FunkyGibbo) makes one ache with nostalgia for that wonderful Christmas spent in the drunk tank.
Quality Street Christmas by Fatti Burke.
This old school offering from homebird.ie is the perfect way to let people know there’s no money in the card before they even open it.
Perhaps for your ice-footed love? Also from homebird.ie.
‘Have a Scrumdiddlyumptious Christmas’ Christmas card designed by Brendan Conroy. Brendan is an Irish freelance illustrator and designer currently residing in New York. Well.For.Some.Says.You.
For the horticulturalist in you life, this beautiful botanical design by Sally Caulwell is printed in white ink on recycled brown card.
Dublin-based Clover Rua’s cards are always stylish, smart and a something special. Just like you!
Sending this to the wrong recipient could lead to an awkward January. Available here.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
