Just last year, exports surpassed €11 billion. Bord Bia plays a crucial role in this, promoting both the nation and its brands to a range of international audiences.
Scattered across the globe, many trade buyers never have the chance to visit or experience Ireland themselves. That’s why it was so important for Bord Bia to develop a digital database that would essentially serve as an introduction to the nation’s best food and drink suppliers. The site had to engage and deliver a compelling argument for Ireland that would drive action. With a depth of information and detail, our challenge lay in ensuring we didn’t overwhelm users with too much content at once. Relevancy was key – it had to be a seamless journey.
WHAT WE DID
Usability and clear navigation was integral. This meant categorising supplier profiles and developing a robust database with a simple, easy to use search tool. And because the site’s ultimate goal was to develop business relationships, we’ve incorporated a clear call to action that drives direct engagement with Bord Bia.
But we also know that it’s often the first impression that counts the most. That’s why we selected dynamic photography and incorporated a straightforward, friendly tone of voice to bring Ireland’s USPs and assets to life.
